I’ve got a question regarding the rules (or lack thereof) regarding the ability to rename weapons.
My question is this, what are the rules?I ask because my new sword has generated some controversy and complaints, but as far as I can tell is not illegal, I named my sword ‘Exploits and Hacks, Report Him’
And surprise, people actually started trying to report me when they saw this message pop up “ADCKnight has slain SomeGuy using Exploits and Hacks, Report Him” whenever I kill someone with it, since death messages now include the weapons name.
XD Wasn’t a very smart thing to do then was it? 😉 I wouldn’t really suggest naming your weapon something like that 😛 Maybe if you’re going to name it, do so with a choice in your head “Something stupid is going to get people to think poorly against me” or anything like that 😛
Since minecraft updates often, the rules sometimes changes/varies. From what I know, the sword name has to be appropriate and not hack related. Also it pretty much promotes hacking, which is against the rules. Please change the name of your sword asap.
Going to need a mod to change that, I don’t have enough EXP to do it.
Either that or a replacement diamond sword with sharpness 1 fireapsect 1 named “an inappropriately named sword”
And no having the item removed without compensation is not an option, I put a lot of time and effort into it and there was no indication that this was illegal at the time of its creation.Fixed, you can keep your sword name, names wont show on death messages anymore.
