We regret to inform that EternalCracked will no longer be supporting Tekkit due to the following reasons:
- Many bugs found that cant be fixed unless both server and client update their mods. Bugs such as areas that lag inexpicably even with clear chunks or dissapearing pipes and server corrupting chunks or inventories when restarting. Many issues have been fixed on new minecraft and mod versions, but in order for it to work clients would need to download the new mods in order for them to join the server.
- Lack of stable updates.
- Lack of compatibility with other mods or having to use outdated mod versions which have bugs too.
Since playing Tekkit peacefully would require every player who wants to join to be a part of EternalCracked and be aware of the website and to download the mod updates regularly we have decided this is not the experience we wanted to bring, so I and other Headmods have decided not continue with the project. We may retake the project in the future when the Minecraft API is completed so client can automatically download whatever updates the server have installed, and everybody can enjoy the new features of Minecraft and other mods.
In the meanwhile, Catch22 and others have decided to keep going with Tekkit and has transferred the files to his new server called Precision Tekkit. I have pointed tekkit.eternalcracked.com to his new ip 192.241.9.12 so you can still join their server using the old address. I will recommend keeping updates on their website http://precisionmc.enjin.com , they have forums, chat and all.
All donors who donated for Tekkit and want to keep playing Tekkit regularly at Precision Tekkit will have their money donated transferred to the new owners. Individual donor issues can be addressed by emailing whocraft2@gmail.com
I hope Precision Tekkit can provide a great experience to players and improve in areas EternalCracked couldn’t.
