In this guide I will be explaining some (not all) of the towny commands. I know that it is big but there are many things to explain 😉
How to make a town:
The command for making a town is /t new (name of the town). Making
a town will cost 100k and 4k for daily upkeep. Also you will need to cover the expenses for making the town
(like make the town spawn, public farms etc.). One extra and very important expense is claiming land. It will cost 3k for
each plot/chunk (a 16×16 area).Communicating with your town:
In order to communicate with your town efficiently do:
/tc
This command will move you into Town Chat. In order to return back to general chat you just do /tc or /g
another command for town communication (and in my opinion more efficient if you want to talk in both general and town
chat) is:/tc (text)
One more recommendation, if you want to foccus at the town chat, is to do /tc . Then use /g (text) to talk in the
general chatMaking/Claiming plots:
I will first explain how to make a plot (a 16×16 area which residents live in). The first step is to hit F3. Then look at
the “x” and “z” coordinates. You will be able to see two numbers that are in brackets “()”. Using these numbers you will
be able to identify the plot. The borders of the plot are marked with the numbers 0 and 15. So when making a plot go and
and find these two numbers. I know it is difficult to understand so here is a video that I made.In order to add a plot for sale yo do /plot fs (price)
*This command can only be used by the mayor / co-mayor / assistant
**If it is the players first plot and you give it for free you just do /plot fs
The command for claiming a plot is /plot claimIn order to set a plot to embassy you do /plot set embassy and then /plot fs (price). In order to reset an embassy to
a normal plot do /plot set reset
*Embassies are usually sold around the price of 7k.
**An embassy is basicly a plot that can be claimed by other towns.Teleporting to a town/Getting information about a town
First of all in order to teleport to a town do /t spawn (town name). In order to teleport to the town that you are a part
of simply type /t spawn . A mayor / co-mayor / assistant can “close” the t spawn of the town for other players who aren’t
members of the town. But this rule doesn’t apply for members of the same nation who are considered allies. The command to
“close” the public t spawn is /t toggle publicIn order to get information for the town you are a member of do /t . If you are in a town that you don’t know how it is
called just do /t here . Also when you know the name of a specific town you can do /t (Town Name)Some general commands:
/t list : Shows a list of all the towns
/t online :Shows the ONLINE members of a town
/t reslist :Shows the members of the town (online and offline)
/t ranklist :Shows the mayor / co-mayor(s) / assistant(s)Adding a friend at your plot:
First do /res friend add (name) . With this command you add someone at your friend list. Then do
/plot set perm friend on . Note that you have to stand in the plot in order for the second command to work.Commands that only a mayor can use:
Recently a new permission has been given to mayors, they can withdraw money from the town bank. The command for this is
/t withdraw (amount) . The command in order for a mayor to give the rank of an assistant or a co-mayor is
/t rank add (Player Name) (assistant / comayor) . The command for a mayor to remove these town permisions from someone is
/t rank remove (Player Name) (assisnt / comayor) .Other mayor commands:
/t delete : Delets the town
In order to deposit money in the town bank simply do /t deposit (amount)
*The town bank gets capped at the amount of 400kCommands that can be used from assistants+
/t set board (message) :sets the board message
/t set mayor (name) :sets the new mayor
*this command can only be used by the mayor
/t set homeblock :sets the homeblock, in order for the t spawn to be set
/t set spawn :sets the town spawn
/t claim outpost :Claims an outpost
*this command can only be used by the mayor
**an outpost is 16×16 land which is detached from the town
***WARNING! A single outpost costs 300k. So choose wisely when or where you will make the outpost
/t set name (name) :Sets a new name for the townemg thanks you zzzz for this 😀
Hopefully this will be of help to peopleGood job, but the problem is, when new people comes to the server, they won’t check the forums, so I think guides like this should be implemented as a link in the sign, or an announcement.
Awesome
@maxminoS I know that this is a problem I was thinking that a book could be given with all these information when someone join.
That would be a good idea but it should be shorter since I don’t think new players will want to read that much and they’ll just get bored and start playing.
I think that it has already been explained in the Server Commands area, but this is a more in-depth explanation:
Off-topic: Why is there a tag on this post that says “#Rogue4President”. I bet mega did it :3
Well I know that I didn’t add the tag xD
Detective Rogue_Art, on the case!
D: Im a detective >:(
Well you guys can also do /res set mode plotborder. It assists in making plots by highlighting chunks with smoke lines. Hope it helps 😀
I just thought that bumping this would be a good idea.
I just wanna bump this…
Mission accomplished.
I LOVE HOW THE TAG IS STILL #Rogue4President XDThis reply has been marked as private.ummm zaltis what did you say xD?
