Still think this should be removed completely.

Suggestions:

-/banvote should have a message saying how many banvotes the player has

-When the player has 5 banvotes, admins will be alerted.

-The admins keep an eye on the player

-If the player isn’t innocent, the admin bans/tempbans/warns/mutes the player

-If the player’s innocent, the voters will be warned and the player will be allowed to play normally.

-Remove the 30 second mute.

-Remove /banvote yes and /banvote no.

Banvote doesn’t have meaning anymore 😛 It has been added by born to give the ability for members to get rid of hackers fast, without the help of staff, not for no proof reporting. 😛

Btw, looks like it doesn’t mute for 30 seconds (it says that it does so, but in fact it doesn’t do it).

Edit: And it also doesn’t remove 0.25 vote when someone doesn’t vote! If it does, igra wouldn’t have been tempbanned. ( http://eternalcraft.com/forums/topic/no/ )

Tweaked a bit.
-No mute
-Every positive vote counts as 1
-Every negative vote counts as -1
– AFK and nonvotes wont count.
-The nasty hacker is banned if the positive votes from good people are 3 more than the negative votes from bad people.
– 5 mins tempban per positive vote.

Great updates, actually 😀 Also, it will reduce the error and abuse rates (reverse the fifth dash: “The victim of an abuse isn’t banned if the positive votes from bad people aren’t 3 more than the negative votes from good people.”). There will still be mistakes and abuses, but much less.

Will it be added on MG2 and MG3 too? That’s where hackers.. Can hack, lel (according to what Dark says, NoCheatPlus would conflict with the double jump/feather). Anyway, thanks

You report a hacker on the forums to get rid of him permanently (or till he makes a ban appeal), however, it can take time for a mod to come on the server and ban him, so you’re stuck with the hacker. Welp, with banvote, not anymore! You can report, and then banvote the cheater. (I guess that’s the point) What happened to you normally won’t happen again, with the new updates (read born’s post!).
