You could have died from combat logging and once you rejoin, you get a death message.

If you did actually die, why do you have items in your inventory?

It’s actually possible, I think it’s a conflict between the server and client.

it wasnt combat tag for sure because i wasnt in combat i was fishing and i ended up losing nemo ;-; and i had items because i got them back from dieing
Someone got my fishing stuff i only got the porkchops
