After a lot of thought and failed login attempts, I decided I might as well post on here to see how the forums doing. It’s been a while and the servers been gone for a year and a half? Might be wrong but who can blame me. Either way; how’s it been? What have you done after the closing? Did you stop playing Minecraft and swap to other games? I sure did… I rarely play minecrFy but that’s me… I’ve noticrf however that I’ve started having a life since the shutdown which is a plus for me. But that’s me and not everyone else… I’m mainly posting this to play catch-up with everyone since no one ever checks Skype anymore. (Can’t blame them since Discord is way better). And how have the EC remake servers been? I’ve notice some remakes but most failed to my knowledge… either way, I hope I can catchup somewhat with this post… I’ve noticed people replying to born’s thread so I was thinking this post might actually not be a waste of time. Either way, I’d love to hear from past friends again…

Well personally, I’ve been pretty good after the server shut down lol. Life has been smooth sailing, and can’t really complain.
As for games, I dropped Minecraft for a considerable amount of time. I’ve only recently somewhat gotten back into playing it with a few friends, but it’s nice to play it again. After such a long period of ignoring it from being burnt out, I can finally say I kinda enjoy it for the first time in a really long time.
In regards to other games, I’d mostly stuck to Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Borderlands, and Dying Light for a while after the server died, but as of lately I’ve been playing Immortal Redneck. I got into playing God Eater for a short while, but stopped playing it, and for the most part cannot remember as to why I stopped. Might resume playing it after I’m home tomorrow.
Yeah, everybody jumped ship to Discord after their mass-shilling from larger YouTubers. For basic use, it genuinely was no better than Skype was. I didn’t use custom emotes, servers weren’t a benefit since I could make Skype groups, there were negligible differences in system resource usage between the two (In a few situations, Discord is worse than Skype for RAM usage). That’s just me, though.
In general, a lot of the benefits that Discord offers are really just snake oil for the general user.
Yeah, I feel as if everybody noticed how poorly the remakes were doing, in just about every instance they’d popped up. Are there still any alive? I recall Aidan/Gra made one, but I don’t know if it’s still up, or if it met the same fate as all that came before it.

Haha, I can’t imagine how the mobile version would feel. I very rarely use my phone for just about anything more than some quick tech news while on the train in the morning, let alone websites. I don’t want to imagine that. 😛I have been pretty busy doing work. I have been doing some incredible things, becoming a programmer has really paid off. I miss EC and the community though so I try to visit the website a couple of times a week. Hopefully one day another game will pop up and we can get the community together again.
My experience with Minecraft was a lot the same as Seth’s. I got really burned out of the game after playing on Beiji’s server for a while (rip I still havent been able to contact him) and now that’s closed too, sadly, which stinks because I had really started to hone my building skills and lost a lot of stuff. But other than that life’s good, school’s going well, etc. I dont play video games much anymore in general. Recently I’ve been playing modded and building a midwest-inspired town/argiculture scenery type thing. Also 1.13 absolutely murders my computer so rip.
Life is same. few ups and downs but I’m still very happy.. Good to see that we still communicate with each other. I can’t stop thinking that I and other people has a special connection to this website. We really did have good times. Love all of u, can’t thank the server and you guys for the memories within this game.

..yea… I stopped playing mc since the shutdown …Soo.. life is like a. Rolling barrel on a ramp 😉 doesn’t stop rolling ..we move on ..
but guess faith played it well with me 😂.. the server went down before joining my academy which .. ended my addiction on this game .. I bet I wouldn’t concentrate on my trainings if the server didn’t shutdown 😅

After the server went down I still was playing MC a ton, but these last 3months or so I’ve stopped playing a ton less more and have moved on other games like 2k, rainbow six siege, fortnite, pubg and etc. Never got around finding a great community/family such as EC once it went down, but I came very close… Since than I’ve played a few big servers and got back around into HPS Bedwars, but that came old and boring over time.
Crazy how all this time I’m still around checking up on this website and seeing how everyone is doing and also seeing the ogs who played here still check around and see whats cooking.
Not gonna lie, I’m guilty of only checking the website every 2-3 months nowadays. Haven’t touched Minecraft since the server closed, been busy with (Rocket League,) drums and studies. Also, I finally moved to France last July; considering moving to Switzerland someday too. Much like seth and SK said, everything’s been going fine.
Imo, Skype feels clunky compared to Discord. Ofc, Disc often has some connectivity issues that other services like TeamSpeak are pretty much absolutely free of, but the interface is what makes it for me.PS: Stay tuned for Rogue’s announcement March of next year!

My experiences after the shutdown were roughly similar. I stopped playing minecraft about a month after. I started playing CSGO and Dota 2 right after. I still play Dota 2 now, but I stopped playing CSGO. I haven’t had a new group of friends pop up during this time either. I just finished my first year of highschool (and made no friends). I’m pretty lonely most of the time.
I check this website like once a month. Keep up the sh*tposts (gives me the laffs)
Even all these years later, I still play on an old copy of the EC map sometimes to improve my own builds, other peoples builds, add things etc. But I haven’t played multiplayer MC since I could no longer call this server home. Other than that real life is great. It’s still interesting though to come back here every once and a while.
Hey Xav do you still have a copy of that world? I’d love to take a peek around.
