Woah… It has been a long time without topics… So here I am with a new suggestion!

The Reporter Rank!

As you might know, EC is the only original server: Other servers have YouTube rank, EC doesn’t! And like that… So, we could invent the reporter rank, wich has to update everyone about everyone’s life…

Perks:

-Access to /gm 3
-Special name.
-Access to /v

Requeriments:

-Has to know english.
-Has to be kind.
-Doesn’t have to be past banned.
-Has to be active in game.
-Has to be active in the forums.
-Has to have the basics Mod requeriments.

Job:

-He/she must upload a topic every X time (please tell me how much time it can be), with all the news, I mean, with the /gm 3, she could (i.e.) “[name1] and [name2] are living toghether…. Where will end this relationship?”… Also with hackers; “[name] was hacking, proofs? Here they are!”. Basically create the “Eternal Craft’s News Paper”

That might be a nice addition to “peaceful” servers like Survival and Creative.. But for servers like Prison, Faction and Minigames, that will be much abusable.

Yeah, in prison you can stalk someone and everytime they go into a PVP area, you can go kill them. In factions, you could easily check where a player has their secret base or faction base.

It will be abusable gm 3 can let u find minshafts and dungeons easly in servival not to mention we wont need /v in creative and we are aready allawed to do gm 3 jn creative

Vote down for that. It’s just not a good idea to use that rank. We have mods to solve those kinds of problems, and players frequently report hackers when they notice them. Also people will abuse vanish and noclip.

What about for prison. But the /gm3 can’t be toggled. You can use an alt to receive that rank and just, report shtuff. So you cant sneak up behind people and toggle your gm and so on.

Actually, this may sounds like a good idea, but it opens door to abuse…

What is good?
– Can provide some interesting reading articles for players to read
– Can allow players to discuss some hot topics.
– If bored, a person can just read these articles to kill some time.

What is bad?
– Open doors to abuse: /gamemode 3 and /v to hunt down players
– Create topics that is actually harmful and hurtful to someone else
– Create unnecessary conflicts and quarrels.

My recommendation
– Use /fly instead of /gamemode 3 and /v
– The mod team will also need to monitor the reporter, ensuring the topics he reported is interesting but not hurtful to someone
– Ensure /fly is not abused.
