I came online today, at May 14th 2015 to see this message:

*** WARNING, Universe WILL BE DELETED AT NEXT NEW DAY DUE TO LACK OF FUNDS ***

Don’t know if my thoughts are correct, but does that mean that survival will be deleted if they don’t do something in time?

It means the nation or town you are in will be deleted. Universe is my nation, and it has ran out of funds for upkeep.
