Tekkit Login Issue

I’ve done everything it says on the homepage to get onto the tekkit server, but when I login it says that it can’t find my account on minecraft.net. I have tried this with this account, and my alt, Sharingan12345. But neither of them work. Has anyone had the same issues, and can anyone help? I love tekkit so I really want to try it.
