Where are the experience from mobs?

I was spelunking and I noticed that mobs only give money and no experience. Could we only get experience from mining and bottle of enchant?
Mobs coming out from mob spawners doesn’t give experience somehow, and the owner should fix that (or it really is like that). So the only way to get exp is from mining coal,redstone,lapiz,diamond,emerald and doing mob arena. /ma j
