Can’t edit, but above should read “4 EXP bottle guy” not 3.
Also, if the lost villagers can’t be restored…
I’m at a loss for words, there can be no compensation for these little dudes, they were like my in-game family. When I logged on to find them all massacred a walked around in a daze for a while and then basically rage-quit.
Nooo!!!….
ALL my villagers are gone, I only had 15ish. but these were carefully cultivated and bred, among them three of the rarest villagers there are, one was the rare 3 EXP bottle guy, another was the cheapest possible saddle guy, and the extremely popular SilkTouch/Efficiency2/Unbreaking2 diamond pick axe guy. They’s dead!
All of my villagers were named with name tags, and some of them were older than most people have been on the server, the 3 exp bottle guy just celebrated his first birthday! And now they’ve been horribly murdered! I’m no longer going to be able to sell enchanted goods in my store.
RIP Silk Axe Guy, you will be missed.
Wills reset your password dude, looks like you’ve been hacked.
Hope the admins see this, that would cause some major lag on the clients end, and possibly the server too.
Skills is more thick skinned than that, I doubt it was this that made him leave, from what he was saying in his goodbye thread sounds more like he wants to focus or real life stuff.
On the other hand, This is one of the reasons why I no longer moderate servers or make mods/addons for games, gets to be more like a chore or unpaid work than the fun of a game.
Sad to hear, hope to see you again one day.
While I agree with Skills about this curing client side lag for low end computers it wont fix the much bigger issue of the extreme server side lag that has been plaguing the server for the past few weeks. New players are far more likely to leave over not being able to play due too server lag than leaving over low FPS.
I once had an idea to make an auto-griefer, but it was too costly so I scrapped it, basically I’d get the victim to grief their own wilderhouse, using an unlocked trapped chest with sign saying ‘free diamonds’ attached to a series of dispensers that were out of line of sight, possibly at world height limit, the dispensers would dispense lava, 5 secs later it would suck up the lava, another second later other dispenser would dispense water, and repeat. This would require many dispensers though, a tower of them, as each dispenser would only get one or two uses before being blocked.
The end result would have the wilderhouse filled with cobble and covered with a giant cobble mountain. With little pockets of lava throughout.Hah, I always assumed Nhu was a way of saying ‘New’ like how people are always purposely misspelling words these days.
I pried mine from the corpse of the original ADCKnight and then ate it to make it my own. O_o
I think I’ve told the story of how I got my name before, but here it is again for those that missed it:
Back in 1998 I came across a ASCII rogue-like called Ancient Domains of Mystery (ADOM)
About half way though the Caverns of Chaos I came across a random NPC called Ancient Dwarf, decided to fight him for some reason and he 1 hit killed my very powerful fighter who was like level 20, and ADOM has permadeath, so had to start again.
This time as a Necromancer and in a different dungeon called the Infinite Dungeon (or something like that) I made it like 50 floors down before coming across a creature called a Chaos Knight, I sent my armies of undead against him and he cut through them like butter before pulverizing me.
Damn those Ancient Dwarves, Chaos Knights, they’re way overpowered, Imagine If they had a baby… would he be an Ancient Dwarven Chaos Knight?
And from then on I went to play Neverwinter Nights, which allowed you to create characters with really long in-game names, I made a Dwarven Fighter and remembering back to my previous experience with ADOM picked the name ‘Ancient Dwarven Chaos Knight’Later games (Like Minecraft) had character limits on in-game names, So I would either abbreviate it to ADCK or ADCKnight.
Eeew old thread smell.
More than half the towns voted ‘best town’ in this thread are now ruins. Not so good now are they 😛
Unless you were filming it at the same time it’s going to be hard to prove.
Anyone could say they lost items like that, without proof they shouldn’t be reimbursed or it ruins the economy.
FTB/Tekkit etc are OK for single player or invite-only multiplayer, but for public servers? Waste of time, most admins of those severs end up blacklisting 99% of the stuff the mod packs add, which makes me wonder why they bother at all.
But he hasn’t learned anything, he’s still blaming his brother, he’s still defending the fact that he has XRay installed and he’s still acting like he’s the victim in all this.
That’s a relief.
Thanks again Skills
