I don’t know anything about Pokemon except that it’s a game about (kind of) monsters who do battle and one of them, the yellow dude, is Pikachu. Am I right so far? π
Based on what I understood from Wikipedia and Pokemon’s website, it’s very much like Minecraft and countless other open-world games: you explore a world where you gather items and fight, except that this time it’s in the real world, and there’s a little more to it with the 3 teams and the Arenas. It objectively sounds fun at first, like an easter egg hunt with omelette orgies, however, the devs will have to frequently update the game to keep it interesting.
Although the game tries to bring people together, with the “defensive teamwork” and all that, I personally think there isn’t going to be many communications between players, because before, you were still protected by your screen, and you could give people the image you want of yourself, while hiding behind it, whilst in Pokemon Go, other players can really see you and your fat belly / ugly noise / stinking smell / brown skin / long beard… Be truthful: don’t you judge people on their external appearance, at least the first time you encounter someone? (In 2010, 70% admitted they did, and nowadays that’s even worse for the reasons I’ll let you think of) So most people will find a way to play on their own without really communicating to anyone. Evidently some players are going to organize clubs and schedule meet-ups if that isn’t yet done, but again, in my opinion, these will not help much for the “outside-the-game interaction” part.If you haven’t got my point yet: what’s in the game will stay in the game. Just like a bus or a metro, where people interact but barely communicate.
Who knows, I might be wrong from A to Z, though that’s my opinion on this.

Aside from polar bears, 1.10 actually has some nice little additions like the fossils and the auto-jump option.
Hi Proxy I remember you as well.
Still can’t forget EC. Well, it’s true, since the server closed I have much more time for my primary passion (music), but sometimes chatting with anonymous and – most times – friendly people is a whole lot better than trying to explain how a funky 15/8 bar goes for other hypocrite silly “musicians” who can only play their common straight 4/4 pop. Sorry, I guess I got carried away here. ;P
What I miss the most (aside from Creative) is the activity here on the forums, strangely. It felt for me like a nice cafΓ©, where people share their thoughts and problems. The comparison isn’t very precise, I know..
I also miss Skyblock a lot, as it was what had originially kept me playing daily here, more than 3 years ago already.#LongLiveEC

I joined the server by the time you, Badboy, Toblerone, ShadowHunter (it’s his name, right?) and the others were starting to get inactive to pass the flag to Zevguns, Wiggy (aka CheesyMoggs), S_Killer (aka Ze_Blitz), Squirtle, TheOnelostTom, Asto.. Therefore I didn’t have the chance to really know any of these “generation 1” mods except you for some rare moments.
Yeah, mental builds.. And many blocks were blocked or donor-only at that time! People like ChinesStyle could builds some giant masterpieces though. With time, builds got smaller yet remained excellent.
(Let’s not mention the hundreds of inapp plots, eh? π )In Summer 2013 I used to play 6 hours a day. That was perhaps the quickest Summer ever for me before I start playing drums professionaly.
Goodbye Zups! π That’s how Zev – or SK? – used to call you when you weren’t online, in case you didn’t know.

PS: Was Tekkit still around in May 2013?
Very astonishing how we mods can still fight for little biscuits after EC’s closed. If there’s a keymaster around, please close this topic.
The saddest fact is that I know each one of you enough to be certain that you’re not the type to make pointless fights in public. π

You misunderstood him Tav, he meant donor ranks could be used to describe a person’s status/activity. For example, you could be an “Ancient” player by buying the “Ancient” donor pack.
It’s a good idea, it needs some development tho: how to assign the donor prefixes? Does the player buy a legit donor pack and chooses any prefix himself? Everyone would choose Ancient or Legendary.
How about this: instead of 1 name for each donor rank, there would” be a list of possibles names for each donor pack, and ranks such as “Historical/Ancient/Legendary” are by mods, or, even better, by players’ vote. There’d be only one color per pack (light blue, magenta red, yellow, orange) so players don’t get confused.
Example:
Donor pack 1: Traveller, Explorer, Pioneer, TimeLord (hehee), Galifreyan (double hehee), Dalek (triple hehee), TimeAstronaut, Astronaut, Lucky,..
And etc.~Drumming Dice! {DD}

I have an idea for a class name, Time Lord. There has to be a little reference to Doctor Who in a time travel concept server, imo. It’d have, among other perks, /heal every 12 or 13 minutes.

Please ban ethanowens! An oreo doesn’t simply become “high” (which is btw a PG-13 reference). YOU become high when you eat it too! And he didn’t mention that! Plz ben him admon

If only you’d have not put freakin’ strawberries on it, I’d eat it.. all. *insert evil face here, who’s allergic to most -berries except blueberries* π

That’d not be nice at all if born comes tomorrow and says ‘hi.. Um actually it was a just a joke guys! I wanted to do it the 1st of April but you’d have guessed so yeah. Liked it?”
Oh hell no. π
Yet born isn’t vicious enough to do that, so don’t hope too much. As said above, it’s just that he didn’t have time to shut it down yet or timezone difference. I hate to be the fatalist dream-breaker. O_O~Drumming Dice! {DD}
Agent has tried to make me join LRL, but I didn’t want to leave Australia for reasons that are useless to mention here. It was a nice town, not as beautiful as Omega’s, though very well organized.
You forgot to mention promoting Ander was a controversial move. Mods, especially in Survival, are supposed to have a good reputation among the community while Ander and Tavon were still known for their will to increase their count of forum replies at any cost. They stopped in February (at most, probably earlier) but you know how people remember the bad points of period of someone. Not to mention Ander was a lot more into Prison than Survival – right?Great to know we’ll still debate geo-political issues on skype π (most of the time it’s midnight for me, and I’m sleepy and all, and you ask me “Hey, who benefits from ISIS more in your opinion? Saudi Arabia, Irak,..? And if it were to fall down, who would have the most to win?” I truly love sharing and debating ideas, but not at midnight after a hard busy day haha. π )
Well, lastly, goodbye Rogue! Wish we could’ve met more in-game. π~Drumming Dice! {DD}
PS:
Did you know, I thought you were promoted in Survival a first time, then demoted, then promoted again? Maybe someone has told me but I’ve totally forgotten that. #MemoryTroublesStartingEarly
And, “I joined the server (in survival) on Oct 5, 2013” and not 2015. Someone had to point it out anyway, you’re free to kill me. πDilla’s also a rapper. His album “Welcome 2 Detroit” has some bits of him rapping (The Clapper), and he laid down some raps for other hip hop artists. He’s mainly a producer though, of course.
I’ve been hearing a lot about Kendrick Lamar lately. Only had time to listen to “I” (‘This is a song about peace!’) and “Alright” till now, so far so good.
50 cent.. When I was a little kid, I used to continuously listen to one of his songs, fascinated by.. I don’t know what. π
Heard that one from Dre. A friend has lent me his latest album as well as Snoop Dogg’s. Listened to them once then I’ve brought them back to him. I guess we don’t have the same musical tastea..Are you talking about my hip hop list only? In my opinion, rhythm comstitutes 75% of the feel of an old school hip hop song, and when you say “rhythm in hip hop”, two things come to mind: raps and breakbeats on drums, so that’s why I think drums are so important in hip hop.
And if you’re talking about my list as a whole, good bands are constituted of good musicians. A good drummer can make the band sound better, just like a talented bassist or anyone in it. Matt Bellamy’s incredible singing skills are a major reason of Muse’s success, so is Chris’ groovy bass lines and Dom Howard’s powerful beat-keeping. As for Porcupine Tree, Tool, Animals as Leaders and Nerve, true that each of these bands has a world-class famous drummer (in order: Gavin Harrison, Danny Carrey, Matt Garska, Jojo Mayer) but if I featured them on this list, it’s because they
make great alternative and progressive music.
I do admit I find myself rating a drummer’s fill or drum part though, yet I didn’t share, for example, Mark Guiliana’s work because it might sound boring to non-drummers.
