Yep, indeed a lie. Read the whole thing. I would almost call this a lure: Be logic, anyone would come and kill him to get the beacons without armor, but since he has one on… Not sure if this will really punished, but thanks Mike, we know that we can’t really trust brianser anymore.

As said above, traps of this sort aren’t punished. You can go out of them by a lot of ways:
1-Doing /spawn, or /p home.
2-Doing /p info, getting the ID of the plot, and then using /p tp (ID).
3-Asking for charity and requesting a random tpa (command is: /tpa (name), of course) to anyone π .@wither

Open it with Java, make a profile, put the username you want, select the version you want, click “Play”, amd it’ll download the version’s file. Next times, it’ll only open the game. π
EDIT: In the profile, you can select where gonna be your .minecraft. The default place is in the Documents, but you can change it to anywhere else
