Yea, if you have gear, regardless, you can just take a screenshot of the chat, the history disappears in about 5 mins, if a lot of people are talking
How were you trapped? and why didn’t you use /spawn? and why don’t you have a screenshot of him asking you to teleport to him, then you getting killed by him? Anyone can just say anything without proof, doesn’t mean it actually happened

It wasn’t just one guy, it is many people. Okay, you lost your chain from one guy, but what about everyone else you offended? There isn’t a reason to get mad for losing anything, whatever you lose in minecraft takes at most a day to get back.
